On February 21 and 22 the Honey Fair of Crespià is back!
La Fira de la Mel (The Honey Festival) is the most important annual event of Crespià and one of the oldest fairs of the Pla de l’Estany region.
Honey is the main subject of the festival, but it also attracts traders from many different places of the region, Catalonia and French Catalonia, who offer all kind of craft food products, fabrics and other hand made products.
In the Festival only local Crespià honey is sold, and can be purchased at the Town council’s booth, located in the Church Square. There you may find walnuts from the walnut tree plantations of Crespià, the biggest in Catalonia. So, if you like honey and / or walnuts and handicrafts, you can not miss this Festival.
